HYPNOBIRTHING COURSE AT MAMAS AND PAPAS IN LAKESIDE, THURROCK, 3 & 4 NOVEMBER

What is hypnobirthing?
Quite often the word ‘hypnobirthing’ conjures up images of something that it is not. It is an antenatal class, similar (but better, in my opinion) than the NHS classes and NCT, purely because the material covered is what you would get in either of these courses and much more…

We teach you to look at birth positively and naturally - the event that it is meant to be. TV, media and over-medicalised care in hospitals have skewed the beauty of birth and have instilled fear amongst women. Women go into hospital expecting their experience to be as it is portrayed in TV dramas. Often, a labour using hypnobirthing principles is the polar-opposite. It is calm, relaxed and comfortable. Why? Because the mother and her birth partners are confident. They know the choices that are available to them. They instinctively know what is right for them and their baby. They are confident to decline unnecessary interventions too.
