As a hypnobirthing teacher, one of the important elements that we state to expectant parents is the power of movement during labour. We encourage all labouring mums, to be as mobile as they can be during labour (this notion of sitting on a bed waiting for baby to pop out is a nonsense). Being on a bed, for prolonged periods of time, is the worst thing you could possibly do.
By learning antenatal yoga, you will become familiar with positions that will help your baby navigate through the birth canal during labour. This can potentially shorten your labour, as well as make it more comfortable. What's not to like about that?
